My recreation of God of War Ragnarok's iconic Mjolnir design. I was fortunate enough to use scale resin replica that came with the game as reference, which was very helpful when it came to sculpting the engravings and breaking down the composition of overlapping elements.
I chose this piece to recreate due to its multiple complex components, providing a challenge to model in Maya (namely the straps and the trim around the pommel).
The low-poly model came in at 17,041 Verts, with a lot given to the straps and pommel to provide as smooth a finish as possible
The final model was textured in 4k and rendered with ray-tracing in Marmoset Toolbag 4 under two separate lighting arrangements.
